Abstract
Infections of the spine and malignant tumors of the spine have been described frequently, but to our knowledge the coexistence of these lesions in the same location in one patient has not been described previously. Since the treatment of these diseases is different, a correct diagnosis is essential for proper management. The purpose of this article is to emphasize that these lesions can occur together by describing the cases of three patients who were treated at our institution for tumors and infections that coexisted at the same spine level.
