Abstract
This is a report of a 31-year-old woman with unilateral vision loss due to serous retinal detachment and schisis-like changes associated with an optic disc pit. The patient was initially observed but worsened clinically and underwent pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling, laser photocoagulation, and removal of an optic pit plug. Histopathological analysis of the specimen disclosed that the plug consisted of fibrovascular neural tissue.
