Abstract

The authors report a case of a synthetic fiber granuloma to demonstrate the challenges in diagnosing these lesions and to highlight their histopathologic features. This is the first report in the literature to use histopathologic and immunofluorescence studies to characterize the subtype and distribution of macrophages in synthetic fiber granuloma.
