Abstract

Reduction techniques used to reduce tibia fractures with Ilizarov fixators are illustrated. Techniques include: wire positioning and angular correction, horizontal wire positioning on rings, draw and arch wire techniques, half pin reduction techniques, laminar spreader techniques, limited internal fixation with pins, screws and plates, universal hinge mechanisms, and universal Rancho cube reduction techniques.
