Abstract

The development of a medical school curriculum database manager that uses the Medical Subjects Headings (MeSH) nomenclature system is described. This program has been named MECCA, for Medical Education Core Curriculum Analysis. The pros and cons of alternative methods of cataloging curriculum content are discussed, along with future projects and applications of a system such as MECCA.
