Abstract

Presentation of Case A 76-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of pain about the right hip. There was a history of the radiographic detection of osteosclerotic lesions of the lumbosacral spine, pelvis, right femur, and ribs; some of the lesions were observed at least 29 years earlier, showed little change over the years, and were ascribed to fibrous dysplasia. Five months before admission the patient began to experience pain about the right hip and buttock, with radiation to the right thigh.
