Abstract

This book brings together cardiologists, bioengineers and surgeons to report on the present status of the rapidly expanding complex field of cardiac pacing. The volume deals effectively with the history, anatomy and pathology of the conducting system, with the engineering, physiologic and electrocardiographic aspects of pacing, and with techniques, results and reasons for pacemaker failure. It concludes with a presentation of the experimental and clinical experience with His bundle recordings.
