Abstract

The width, thickness and the length of the organs are frequently used for volume calculations in radiology. Thus, radiologists can determine the approximate volumes of the regions rapidly. In this work Butterworth based volume calculation method is proposed for the injured kidneys. The outputs of the proposed method are compared with two different traditional methods. The results are given as root mean square values and also with Bland Altman graphics. According to the results, the proposed method performs better than other two methods.
