Abstract

A brief history of the seminal discoveries in the field of bimetallic cluster complexes with discussion of their structures is presented. A review of some recent studies of palladium and platinum-ruthenium cluster complexes is included with a discussion of applications of these complexes in the area of homogeneous hydrogenation catalysis of alkynes. A review of some recent studies of palladium and platinum-ruthenium cluster complexes is concluded with a discussion of applications of these complexes in the area of homogeneous hydrogenation catalysis of alkynes.
