Abstract
Retrievals of spectral aerosol optical depths by means of sun photometers were undertaken in Tenerife during ACE-2. The goal was to provide estimates of the vertical aerosol extinction over the island, both under clean and turbid conditions. Inversion of spectral aerosol optical depths allowed to retrieve size distributions, from which the single scattering albedo and the symmetry factor could be estimated as a function of altitude.
