Description
The phagocytosis and destruction of microorganisms is an essential function of phagocytes that
protects us from invading pathogens. This application will further our understanding of this process by
further elucidating a mechanism for the destruction of phagocytosed bacteria that was unknown to
science and medicine until relatively recently.
